Hi there!
I’m Meghana (pronounced may-guh-na). Ten years ago, if someone had told me that one day, I would have a career as a copywriter, I would have stared at them in disbelief. The thing is, I loved my job as a social worker. In fact, after obtaining my master’s degree in psychiatric social work, I spent the next 8 years developing curricula related to Health and Life-Skills education for children in under-served schools.
When motherhood beckoned, I decided to take a short break from work. Little did I know that this “short” break would turn into a ten year long stint as a stay-at-home mom to my two sons, now aged 9 and 3. During this time some of my key responsibilities included making sense of baby lingo, carrying oversized bags that contain everything your child might ever need, EVERYWHERE and trying to (rather unsuccessfully) keep up with the energy of these active beings.
With my 3 year old ready to go to pre-school, I decided it was time to get back to work. I wanted to explore alternative careers which would allow me flexibility and autonomy. I have always loved writing and at the cost of sounding a wee bit immodest can say that I am really good at it. In fact, growing up, my family and friends always believed I would choose a career that involved writing. Copywriting sat right at the intersection of my ability to understand human psychology and my love for writing. My choice was made!
Social work practice instilled a deep sense of empathy and the skill to connect with people in me. This helps me write copy that make your customers nod as they read along and go ‘yep-that’s-me’! I am not exaggerating when I say I understand where people are coming from and what their pain points are. My grasp on what your customers truly want coupled with my knack for writing strong, relatable copy will help you crush your business goals!
If you are ready to see what great copy can do for your business, lets connect!
Here’s Something More About Me….
I come armed with the patience and fortitude only a mother of two boys can muster
I fervently hope to author a book someday!
My favorite authors are Somerset Maugham and Ayn Rand. I envy their ability to craft prose that is exquisite and profound in equal measure.
Besides writing, my other loves are music and cooking. All of them provide myriad emotional benefits and are great stress-busters!
